H.M.Srinivasa who is currently working as Additional Director (MSME & PP) in the Department
of Industries and Commerce, Government of Karnataka is an engineering graduate in Textile
discipline. He was born in “Molakalmuru” a small town of Chitradurga district in 1968. He
finished in graduation in 1989 from Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology. After
graduation he worked in 4 years in private textile mills. Later in 1994 he joined as Assistant
Director in the Department of Industries and Commerce. He has worked in Kodagu, Karwar,
Bidar, Bellary, Koppal, Haveri, Shimoga as Assistant Director, Deputy Director, Joint Director in
the Department of Industries and Commerce, Department of Handlooms and Textiles,
Department of Rural Development and Panchayath Raj and e-Governance. During these 4
years of private service and 26 years of Government service he has understood the elements of
industries, entrepreneurs and artisans. This has helped in him to give inputs for indutrial polices
and other schemes. His hobby is calligraphy and we can see his skill in Nudi fonts.
